ORBIT

we met in zero G.
your name is Gia.

a restaurant on a station
a novelty
of no gravity.

I drifted a morsel across the space between us and it bounced off your nose.

you laughed, and I smiled.

you became my star.
I was in orbit.
living, in our gravity.

the debris that crushed you.
mass took you from me.
explosions.
artillery.
totally harmless in the place we met.

you were crushed.
and so was i.

living ever since without your gravity.
