ON THE COSMIC ROMANCE OF DRIFTING BODIES

drifting  
in a complete darkness

frigid anti light photon defying  
darkness

bodies curved this celestial trajectory  
but inevitably  
always returned it

toward charybdic darkness

and

in lawless time  
darkness, had become  
familiar 

a despairing comfort

then you,

light come, no sentinal  
could warn

penetrating  
divine

light.

and this long grown gift   
of fenririan ice  
instantly shattered rendered expanded  
and within a million facets a million droplets refracted this povitrulyan  
glow

unfamiliar  
unyielding  
relentless.

to realize now  
every blessing from  
every prayer sent

to old familiar bodies  
were always aimed  
at false idols.

every one, a lesson

and yet  
none leaving wisdom, enough to know  
what to possibly do   
with you.

but treat you  
like the absolute

perfection

that you are  
only to be seen  
in a million refractions  
as simple eyes would suffer  
eternal blindness  
for merely wanting a look

at you.

to actively seek out  
a miracle such as this  
could never result in a reality  
only chance  
could reason

such an encounter

and to see you  
to know  
something even remotely like you  
exists  
is to know  
that the vastness  
of pleasure and suffering

along this random cosmic arc

is of a magnitude  
that could not even  
have been understood

until now

and knowing you  
for a single day teaches that  
all the knowledge before  
was formless.
